If you need to increase your visibility, whether it is for cars on the road or hunters in the woods, this is the product for you. I’ve seen other his-vis quarter sheets and this is by far my favorite.
What makes this sheet stand out is the fabric. It is made of a mesh fabric that is light and breathable yet durable. I don’t need to worry about my horse overheating. It also has very good coverage – a lot of material on the sides and good visibility from the back. It fits well and does not move around; there is a strap under the tail and an adjustable velcro closure at the front.
Another stand-out feature of this quarter sheet is how customizable it is. You can order it based on:
- English or Western saddle fit
- Size – four options from 68 to 88 inches (based on your horse’s normal blanket size; I found it true to size)
- Optional tail flap with reflectors
- Color – neon orange or neon yellow
- One or two reflective stripes
The website says “free alterations” – I don’t know what this means or how much it costs, but if your horse is proportionally-challenged, you might want to contact them about this.
As a quarter sheet, it does not provide any visibility from the front of your horse, so be sure to add some neon orange or yellow or reflective stripes on your horse’s head or chest.
Price: as of October 2020 the price is $54.95 for the basic model (which I bought), well worth the cost. The extra stripe, tail flap, and largest size increase the cost.
